Owning a car worth caring about in London is harder than it should be: residents' bays and narrow streets, no garage, and a car that stands unused for weeks while the battery drains and the tyres take a set. Our car storage service takes all of that off your hands. We collect the car from your address, store it indoors and look after it properly, ready to bring it back whenever you want to drive it. Henry's Car Barn has stored and managed collections since 1984, and every part of the job is done by our own people rather than passed to somebody else.
Every car gets the same treatment, whatever it is worth.
You do not need to drive the car to us. Our own transporter collects across London and the surrounding counties, so the car leaves your address on the back of a lorry and arrives without adding a mile to the clock. We collect UK-wide, and we can arrange transport to and from Europe when a car needs to travel further.
The car arrives and goes straight into our own wash and inspection facility, which is on site rather than somewhere down the road, so there is no chance of contamination in between. If it needs a maintenance wash before storage, the vital areas are covered first. Then a full inspection, and we come back to you with the results and a quote if anything needs attention.
The car is then given a twenty four hour air dry in a controlled environment so it acclimatises properly, photographed to document its condition, and its brakes cycled to clear surface rust and bring the engine up to temperature. Only then does it go to its bay, driver window slightly ajar, handbrake off, under a soft breathable cover, on a battery conditioner, with a drip tray beneath it.
Tell us when you want it and the car will be ready. We can deliver it back to your London address, have it waiting for you at the barn, or meet you at an event.
A car can be detailed, decontaminated, have paint protection applied or bodywork attended to by our own people, in our own workshop, rather than being handed to a third party. If you are selling, we are a Collecting Cars managed partner and can handle inspection, photography, storage through the auction and the handover at the end.
